On Friday, July 9th in the afternoon will be a joint workshop on EU calls and policy briefing preparation of redox flow batteries between 15:55 – 1655 CEST during the International Flow Battery Forum.

This year, the fall meeting of the electrochemical society (ECS) will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from September 10 to 14. Jens Noack will give a presentation on the results of techno-economic modeling and simulations of vanadium redox flow batteries and organic redox flow batteries.

Abstract

Jens will talk at the 72nd Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry on Jeju Island in South Korea about the results of some cell tests with Iron/Iron redox flow batteries. Iron/Iron redox flow batteries are a promising battery technology were the energy is stored in the redox transitions of Fe/Fe²⁺//Fe²⁺/Fe³⁺. Iron is a very cheap, abundant and non-toxic active material and its usage can lead to cheap and safe stationary batteries for renewable energy.
